Clinics We Offer
These are held during the surgery opening hours.

Antenatal Clinic
The antenatal clinic is held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and our midwife is in attendance.
Postnatal
Please let the surgery know immediately when you arrive home with your new baby so that care by the doctor, midwife and health visitor team can be arranged without delay. Could you also please send the childs registration form to the surgery as soon as possible after the birth has been registered. At eight weeks after delivery a full postnatal check at the surgery is offered to all mothers. Cervical cytology and contraception advice is offered at this clinic where your child will also receive their first immunisation.
Child Immunisation Clinic
All children are encouraged to be immunised at the surgery and the first injections are offered at the postnatal clinic.
Child Surveillance Clinic
Developmental checks are offered to all our children by arrangement with the Health Visitor.
Diabetic, Asthma and COPD Clinics
Clinics are held each week by specially trained nurses assisted by doctors to care for and advise patients suffering from diabetes, asthma and COPD.
Heart Disease/Hypertension
Provides blood pressure checks and advice regarding healthy living and prevention of heart disease.
Well Person Clinic and Over 75 health Checks
Well person checks are carried out by our practice nurses and appointments can be made without seeing a doctor. We aim to promote better health and screen for certain conditions.
Minor Surgery
After initial consultation with a doctor some routine minor surgical procedures including joint injections, cautery, incisions, excisions etc, can be arranged. Such procedures are performed in the surgery.
Family Planning Clinic
A family planning service is available and the clinic is held every Wednesday morning. Postnatal checks are also carried out at this clinic as well as contraceptive implants.
Cervical Smears
Cancer of the cervix is easily treated and it is important that all females between the age of 25 and 65 have regular smear tests to detect early signs of the disease.
Appointments for smears can be made with the practice nurse.
Counselling
We have a trained counsellor available at the surgery. Referrals are usually made by a doctor or nurse.
Weight Reduction/Dietary Advice
Advice on achieving and maintaining your target weight, together with advice on diet generally, is available by appointment with our practice nurses. A dietician is available on the first and third Wednesday of each month for advice following a referral from a doctor or nurse.
Menopause Clinic
Advice on menopausal problems is available. Please contact the surgery to book an appointment with our trained Nurse Practitioner.
Smoking Cessation
Advice and support in stopping smoking is available by appointment with a trained practice nurse. Patients can also contact the smoking cessation clinic by telephoning 0800 952 4433 or visiting www.timetoquit.co.uk
Podiatrist
Deals with foot problems. Please contact reception for further advice and information.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy advice and management services are available from in house physiotherapists following a doctor's referral.
