Protected Learning

The ICB (Integrated Care Board) has arranged Clinical Cover to allow all practices in the Tees Valley area to close and undertake protected learning for Doctors, all clinical staff including nurses and administration staff.

The Surgery will be closed from 1pm on the following dates and reopen the following morning at 8am:

Wednesday 12th June 2024

Thursday 11th July 2024

Tuesday 10th September 2024

Wednesday 9th October 2024

Thursday 7th November 2024


During these periods please use the Pharmacy for minor ailments and advice, the urgent care centres and A&E for emergencies.  Alternatively you can get medical advice by contacting 111.

For  medical care /advice that cannot wait until the surgery reopens between 18.00 and 08.00, and at weekends -  patients should telephone the Out of Hours service - 111

In an emergency, such as Chest pains and/or shortness of breath you should contact 999.

New Telephone Number

We are delighted to announce an upgrade to our telephone system from 4th April 2022.  This is an automated service which allows you to book, cancel and change an appointment.  This has the added benefit of freeing up the telephone lines and staff to deal with patients that need to speak to us.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
