PATIENT ON LINE ACCESS

Less time in waiting rooms, less time on hold.

Patient access is a smart way to help you make use of you GP services online.

Book an appointment, manage repeat medication, view your medical record.

Its quick and easy.   Ask at Reception for details.

Text Reminders - We have just introduced a new messaging system allowing patients to receive appointment reminders. Please make sure your telephone number is up to date.

Urine Pregnancy Test - James Cook Hospital are no longer providing a urine pregnancy test service for all surgeries.  To confirm a pregnancy, a home test or a test provided at your local pharmacy can be completed.

Repeat Prescriptions

Patients on Pregabalin and Gabapentin

As from now, Pregabalin and Gabapentin are being classed as controlled drugs. This means that:

  • Prescriptions will not be able to be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy
  • Prescriptions have to be collected from the surgery as they require a signature by the patient, a relative or a pharmacy
  • Maximum quantity allowed to be issued is 28 Days

If you feel you may want to reduce or stop either of these medications please make an appointment at the surgery to discuss with one of the Practice Pharmacists.

If you are taking regular medication you will be issued with a computerised repeat prescription form, listing every item that you are allowed to order without seeing a doctor.

Requests can be made by ticking the items you require and handing the slip into reception, or sending it in by post (IF YOU WISH IT TO BE POSTED BACK TO YOU PLEASE ENCLOSE A STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE).

To avoid mistakes, we do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions by telephone.

Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be processed.

NB: You can no longer order prescriptions via this website. However you can order on line by a system called Patient on line access

You can either follow this link:

https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/Register

and register on line or call into Reception and complete a form.
